CONVERSE... Spring 2010

Converse-shoes

Although we are suffering a very strong Siberian cold snap in some countries of the Northern Hemisphere, it is necessary to start thinking about the novelties that will be launched by the big brands regarding clothing, shoes, and accessories. After all, the Spring will start in a couple of months.

Converse has just launched its Spring 2010 collection with a few designs that are slightly different to its usual and traditional designs.

In contrast with the traditional and aesthetic products made of cloth, which have been a distinguishing feature for its past collections, Converse has prepared a new group of low and very comfortable shoes in order to receive the first warm days of the year. In this collection, the predominant colors are blue, red, and black. There is no vivid or gaudy colors at all. Apparently, Converse has opted for a combination of several types of shoes: Sport, slip-ons, and nautical shoes. Products of this collection are really versatile: They will look very good with jeans as well as with some formal pants that we want to wear with a casual style.

The model designed by Anthony Pappalardo (see the picture above) is especially different. This is all the more unusual when compared with traditional designs of the Converse shoes. This model of shoes has a very special touch with a similar style to the skate shoes. The other shoes, as you can see in the gallery below, have a slight retro look. In addition, according to the American shoe company, all these products come with soles that are designed to ensure the highest comfort, especially during the practice of skateboarding.

According to Converse, prices will range between $50 and $60 a pair (35 EUR to 40 EUR). Totally affordable for many. However, those prices could be only local prices in USA, so, maybe the cost will be close to $70 a pair (50 EUR) in other countries of the world.
